DVI Inc.: The Newport Beach medical equipment finance company said it raised $29.7 million in a secondary stock offering Tuesday, issuing 2,875,000 shares at $11 each. The offering, DVI’s second since going public in 1986, brings to 9.5 million the total number of shares outstanding. The offering was underwritten by a group of investment bankers led by Prudential Securities Inc. and Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. DVI shares closed Wednesday at $11.25, down 62 1/2 cents for the day, in moderate trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
