Clarifying Stance on Politics and Religion

I was extremely pleased with Mary Rourke’s fair-handed piece “Forgive--but Not Forget” (July 19).

My single criticism is that Rourke identified the Right to Life League as an organization that “promotes political candidates” and whose league-trained post-abortion counselors “only treat women who agree to claim Jesus as their personal Savior.”

We do not endorse candidates. In addition we are non-sectarian.

Thanks for allowing me to make this clarification, and kudos to Rourke for a wonderful article.
