Parents Urged to Immunize Babies

Only 64% of Ventura County’s 2-year-olds are immunized, Ventura County Medical Center officials said last week.
In a bid to get more children immunized against diseases such as measles, mumps, polio and rubella, the center has designed a program called Baby Track to monitor babies after being born in the county hospital.
With patients’ permission, hospital workers will call new parents when their babies reach 3, 5 and 7 months of age to remind them that immunizations are due.
The workers will also provide information about where parents can take their babies to get shots. For information, call 652-6058.
