A teen-ager was killed and two others were injured in a shooting at Hubert H. Humphrey Memorial Park in Pacoima, police said Thursday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers found an 18-year-old Pacoima man shot near Dronfield Avenue and Filmore Street around 9 Wednesday night, Lt. Joe Garcia said. The victim, whose name was not released pending notification of relatives, was taken to Holy Cross Medical Center, where he later died.
Two other victims, a 19-year-old Arleta man and a 17-year-old Pacoima youth who police believe were injured in the same shooting, showed up at hospitals with gunshot wounds, Garcia said. The 19-year-old had been shot in the leg and the 17-year-old in the upper torso.
“We have no suspects and no motives,” Garcia said. “But we believe this to be gang-involved.”
No arrests have been made.
