World IN BRIEF : CANADA : Hundreds Attend Funeral of Activist

Hundreds of Canadian and American mourners gathered near Lake Huron for the funeral of a Canadian Indian activist. Anthony (Dudley) George, 38, was shot Wednesday during a confrontation with Ontario police at a park occupied by militants. Meanwhile, in Gustafsen Lake, British Columbia, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police reported a fierce exchange of gunfire with Indians occupying privately owned ranchland. Three people were reportedly wounded.
