American Vanguard Corp.: The Newport Beach company’s board approved the repurchase of up to $300,000 of its common stock, an increase of $200,000 from the board’s December, 1994, authorization to repurchase up to $100,000 in common shares. The diversified company said that to date it has repurchased 12,000 shares at a total cost of $91,000. American Vanguard plans to use the repurchased shares in conjunction with its 1994 stock option plan and for other general corporate purposes. The company had 2.3 million shares outstanding on June 30.
