A gun-wielding robber held up Weber’s Bakery in Oxnard on Tuesday afternoon, making off with the store’s cash, police said.
The man entered the store, pointed his gun at the clerk and said, “Hang up the phone and give me all the money in the register,” an Oxnard Police Department spokesman said.
The cashier complied, handing over about $150 to $200 worth of cash and food stamps to the man, who then ran north on 5th Street, the spokesman said.
Police are searching for the suspect, described as a 5-foot, 9-inch Latino weighing 170 pounds and believed to be in his early 40s. He was wearing black sunglasses, a dark blue, long-sleeved shirt and light colored jeans.
