Kevin Koeper and Andy Van Orden of La Canada St. Francis finished 1-2 in the senior division of the Rosemead Cross-Country Invitational on Saturday. Koeper was timed over the three-mile course in 15 minutes 11 seconds, and Van Orden finished in 15:11.5, giving them the second- and third-best times ever in the senior-class race. Teammate David Phillips won the freshman-class race in a record time of 16:40. . . . Damien’s Chris Colvin scored four touchdowns--on a 55-yard punt return, a 30-yard interception return, a 52-yard run and a nine-yard run--in the Spartans’ 45-0 victory over St. Bernard. . . . Rosemead held Whittier to 27 yards passing and John Long rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns in a 14-0 victory. . . . Bishop Amat’s Ralph Brown II rushed for 177 yards and one touchdown in a 17-12 victory over Redlands. . . . After finishing 1-9 last season, Workman already has two victories, the last thanks to Refugio Garcia’s 98-yard return of the opening kickoff in a 10-6 victory over La Puente. . . . Kevin Brown returned a kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown and rushed for 129 yards in 17 carries to lead Baldwin Park (2-0) to a 30-17 victory over Northview.
