MOORPARK : Woman, 27, Killed in Head-On Collision

A 27-year-old Winnetka woman was killed Tuesday after a Moorpark motorist drove his car head-on into the woman’s car traveling on California 118 in Moorpark.
Angela McDaniel, an employee of Cal Spas, was removed from her car by the Ventura County Fire Department using the “jaws of life.” She died of her injuries at 11:10 a.m. at Simi Valley Hospital.
Rolando Olivaries, 22, was treated and released from Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.
Olivaries had been driving east on California 118 west of Butter Creek Road when he crossed over the double yellow line and collided with McDaniel’s car, Ventura County sheriff’s deputies said.
The two-lane road was closed until 2 p.m. between Grimes Canyon and Tierra Rejada roads while sheriff’s officials inspected the scene.
The collision is under investigation.
