Sean Standley SCHOOL: Verdugo Hills
SPORT: Football
YEAR: Junior
SEASON AT A GLANCE: Standley, a 6-foot, 200-pound running back, probably also would be a starter on defense if not for some previous injuries. As a freshman, Standley suffered torn ligaments in his ankle. Last year, he missed the final half of the season because of a hip injury. Two weeks ago against Brea-Olinda, Standley, the Dons’ leading rusher with 477 yards, re-injured his hip and had to leave the game.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Standley rushed for 213 yards in 16 carries, including touchdown runs of 60 and 77 yards, in a 51-41 victory over Wilson. “Now it feels fine,” he said of his hip.
