USC Athletic Director Mike Garrett said Thursday he doesn’t expect the suspensions of three Trojan players to be lifted in time for any of them to play Saturday against California at Berkeley.
Yet other USC sources were saying Thursday there was a slight chance defensive end Israel Ifeanyi’s case could be cleared by Saturday. The other two players are tailback Shawn Walters and linebacker Errick Herrin. All three are charged with improper contact with an agent.
