Voter Registration Deadline on Tuesday

Ventura County residents have until Tuesday to register to vote in the Nov. 7 election.

Residents can pick up registration cards at city halls, libraries, fire stations and post offices, officials said. The last day to apply for an absentee ballot is Oct. 31.

Among the local offices up for election are three Ventura City Council seats and two school board positions. Voters will also decide a number of ballot initiatives covering issues ranging from campaign contribution limits to the preservation of farmland.
