Carpinteria 34, Oak Park 8--Brian Benza’s 218 yards and two touchdowns led Carpinteria (6-2, 3-0) on its home field.
Benza rushed for 97 yards in 12 carries, including a 25-yard scoring run. He completed eight of 12 passes for 121 yards, including a 37-yard touchdown to Steven Murillo.
Oak Park (2-6, 0-3) took the opening drive 77 yards in nine plays, highlighted by a 56-yard scoring pass play from Josh Nicassio to Mark McConico. The Eagles scored their only other points on a safety late in the third quarter.
Oak Park gained 245 yards. Billy Mitchell rushed for 97 yards in 15 carries.
