WESTMINSTER — Two armed men robbed a Wells Fargo Bank of an undisclosed amount of cash Tuesday and then fled on foot through a parking lot, police said.
The men walked into the bank in the 7900 block of Westminster Boulevard about 11:30 a.m. and sat down at an employee’s desk. They then strode to the tellers who sit in a room next to the automated-teller machines and demanded cash, lifting their shirts to reveal handguns, police said.
One man filled a bag with cash as the other waited nearby. The men then fled south toward Pacific Avenue, police said.
One man is described as in his early 20s, black, 5-foot-5 and 135 pounds, with short hair. He was wearing a short-sleeved, checkered shirt over a white T-shirt, light blue, baggy pants and black tennis shoes.
Police said the second man is in his late 20s, black, 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, wearing a long-sleeved, plaid shirt, dark, baggy pants and black and white tennis shoes.
