Woman Found Slain in Irvine Home

IRVINE — The body of a woman was found in her home Thursday night, and police said she had been killed.
“She was not shot or stabbed,” Irvine Police Sgt. Dwight Henniger said. The death is being investigated as a homicide, officials said, but he would not elaborate.
The woman was found in her home on Blazing Star just after 8:10 p.m. when police received an emergency call.
Her name was not released, and police could not immediately determine the cause of death, officials said.
The investigation at the home continued late into the night.
