Sotheby’s Breaks Record for Wine Auction in U.S.

NEW YORK — Sotheby’s auction house broke the record for a wine auction in the United States, with a two-day take of $2,092,534.

A double magnum of Chateau Lafite 1865 took in the highest price for a single bottle: $27,600, or $862 per glass.
