Cable TV: Black Entertainment Television Network is branching out into the newspaper realm with a glossy, four-color lifestyle and entertainment magazine. BET Holdings Inc. and the New York Daily News have joined forces to produce the first nationwide weekend magazine targeted at African Americans. The quarterly magazine, BET Weekend, will appear in seven newspapers starting in February as a magazine supplement in their Sunday editions. The papers are the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Chicago Sun Times, Detroit News and Free Press, Michigan Chronicle, New York Daily News, St. Louis Post Dispatch and Washington D.C. Informer.
