Balboa Bay Club: Workers at the exclusive Newport Beach club have unanimously approved a two-year contract providing wage increases of 4% for employees who don’t receive tips, and 2% for employees who get tips. The club’s 120 housekeepers, waiters and cooks had been working without a contract since a two-year pact expired Oct. 21. Union members picketed about three weeks ago to protest lack of progress on a new contract.
