LAPD Announces Drive for Bone Marrow Donors

The Los Angeles Police Department has organized a bone marrow drive in various locations throughout the city to seek donors for three critically ill grandchildren of Police Lt. Ron LaRue, including Michelle Carew, the 18-year-old daughter of baseball great Rod Carew.
The drive will take place at the following Los Angeles locations and times:
* Today, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Van Nuys State Building, 6150 Van Nuys Blvd.
* Friday, 7:30 to noon and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Crenshaw Mall Community Room, 4125 S. Crenshaw Blvd.
* Jan. 18, 7:30 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Police Administration Building Auditorium, 150 N. Los Angeles St.
* Jan. 19, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Westchester Recruitment Center, 5651 Manchester Ave.
