Obituaries : Paul Shirochensky; Engineer, Native of Ukraine

Paul Shirochensky, a longtime Ventura County resident, died at his Ventura home at the age of 88.
The Ananiev, Ukraine, native died Wednesday.
Shirochensky, who had worked as a civil engineer in the Ventura County Public Works Department, had lived in the county for 35 years. He helped build the Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Oxnard.
He is survived by his wife, Eugenia Shirochensky of Ventura; and a sister, Nina, of Siberia, Russia.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Oxnard.
Burial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the church and burial will follow at the Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home in Ventura.
