El Dorado Roars Back to Defeat Kennedy

Kennedy opened a 25-point lead, but El Dorado scored the last 34 points of the match to win, 40-31, in Empire League wrestling Thursday at El Dorado.
Dave Hanaumi began the rally by pinning Steve Chon in 1:27 at 135 pounds and Ryan Long (152) and Alan Deeble (189) also won key decisions for the Golden Hawks (15-6, 2-0).
In the Golden West League:
Saddleback 34, Ocean View 29--Felipe Martinez (112) pinned Ocean View’s Fidel Bui in 3:31 to lead Saddleback. Ocean View’s Mike Ketcham (275) pinned Gordon Christian in 35 seconds.
In the Orange League:
Anaheim 75, Western 6--Mike Slach, Anibal Reyes, Alex Coria and Edmundo Martinez all recorded victories by pin for No. 2 Anaheim (18-2, 2-0).
In the Sunset League:
Fountain Valley 61, Los Alamitos 18--Evan Younger won at 119 pounds to improve to 18-2 for host Los Alamitos (4-5-1, 0-2). Fountain Valley is 20-0, 2-0.
In the Sea View League:
Santa Margarita 38, Woodbridge 34--Curtis Wright won by decision, 14-2, at 189 pounds to put the match out of reach for Santa Margarita (5-6, 2-1). Eric Schulte scored a pin in 1:08 at 119 pounds for the Eagles and teammate Patrick Staight recorded a pin at 152 pounds with a time of 1:12.
In the Sea View League:
Irvine 52, Newport Harbor 21--Alan Rush pinned his opponent in 28 seconds for No. 3 Irvine (3-0, 2-0).
In the Sunset League:
Esperanza 58, Marina 6--Jaime Smith defeated Steve Cooper at 160 pounds, 9-4, for host Esperanza (16-2, 2-0), ranked seventh in the county and second in Division II. Cooper is ranked fourth in the county at 160.
In the Garden Grove League:
Rancho Alamitos 51, La Quinta 21--Albert Valencia pinned La Quinta’s Mike Troung in 1:17 at 119 pounds to lead Rancho Alamitos (8-11, 3-0). Teammate Bobby Esparza pinned La Quinta’s Brian Quinlan in 1:14 at 145 pounds.
