Outlook: Bryant has a wide range of talents in the field, which will help to carry the Vikings this spring. She threw 135 feet 8 inches in the discus and 41-5 in the shot put last season. Cuthbertson ran 5:09.1 for 1,600 meters last year and is the county’s second-leading returner in the event, behind only league foe Angie Winkler of Fountain Valley. Pettus ran 15.2 in the 100-meter low hurdles and 46.32 over the 300-meter intermediates as a junior. Nishioka is the sixth-best returner in the county in the long jump with a 17-3 personal best. Wooton will contribute to relays and join Nishioka in the triple jump. Corson and Cuthbertson will handle the high-jumping duties.
