Fair, Breezy Weather Forecast for the Week

Sunny, breezy and uneventful weather is what San Fernando Valley residents can expect this week, meteorologists said Sunday.
“It’s kind of a boring weather situation,” said Bruce Rockwell, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Oxnard.
The pleasant weather comes courtesy of a high-pressure system that moved into the Southern California region Friday. During the weekend, it combined with a low-pressure system over the Great Plains states to drive winds in the Los Angeles area.
“I think the winds are going to be dying down for now,” Rockwell said. But breezes may return on Tuesday, he added.
Low-pressure systems usually bring clouds and wet weather, but a high-pressure system typically brings sunshine and warmth.
“It’s basically going to be clear,” Rockwell said. Low clouds and fog may return later in the week.
For today, the predicted high temperatures will be 68 in Burbank, 67 in Van Nuys and 75 in Woodland Hills.
