HUNTINGTON BEACH — A 21-year-old bicyclist was in extremely critical condition Wednesday night after he collided with a car and was hurled over it onto the pavement.
Midway City resident Vincent Omar Munoz was riding his bike south on La Salle Lane about 2 p.m. when he failed to stop at McFadden Avenue, where a stop sign is posted, Police Lt. Chuck Thomas said. Munoz was struck by a car traveling west on McFadden, police said.
Witnesses said the driver “had little or no warning prior to the impact,” Thomas said. Munoz was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange. The driver has not been cited.
