Nation IN BRIEF : MONTANA : New Talks With ‘Freemen’ Planned

A state legislator who negotiated with the anti-government “freemen” holed up on a ranch near Jordan, Mont., said he will meet with them again, probably sometime this week. Karl Ohs, one of four negotiators, said he believes the nearly-monthlong standoff between the freemen and FBI agents can end without bloodshed.
