Reward Offered in Case of Stolen Tools

Authorities are offering up to $1,000 for information on the burglar or burglars who stole tools and equipment from a Newbury Park metal-polishing shop earlier this month.
Police said someone broke into Totally Polished at 3477 Old Conejo Road by prying open an entrance door April 2 or 3. The burglar made off with welders, rims, a hand polisher, a pinstriper, a steering wheel and a battery, police said.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on the crime to call Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 494-8255.
Callers may remain anonymous. The caller may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if the information leads to an arrest with a criminal complaint filed.
