Auction to Benefit Boys & Girls Club

Where can one find 1,000 feet of sod, a gourmet Oriental dinner for 16, a set of Spaulding Tru-Flight golf clubs or a fishing trip for two at Cabo San Lucas?
Try the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo’s “Bids for Kids Auction” at 8:30 tonight at Spanish Hills Golf and Country Club.
Auction items are so diverse they defy easy description.
Suffice it to say, anyone in the market for a year’s worth of free flowers, a purebred Labrador puppy or box seats at a Lakers game need look no further.
Also, the $75 admission fee includes a chance to bid at a 5:30 p.m. silent auction, consume a gourmet dinner at 7:30 p.m. and make odd hand signals at the live auction that follows.
Proceeds benefit programs at the Camarillo Boys & Girls Club, which maintains numerous activities for youths age 6 to 18.
The club’s annual fee, which entitles youths to the club’s sports, social, cultural programs and special events, is $12.
