Chip Stacker Dense-Pac Reports Record Profit

GARDEN GROVE — Dense-Pac Microsystems Inc., which makes computer chip stacking products, post record profit for the fiscal year ended Feb. 29 on a 57% increase in revenue.
Net income totaled $1.7 million, or 11 cents a share, contrasted with a net loss of $2.7 million, or 19 cents a share, for the previous fiscal year. Revenue climbed to $18 million from $11.5 million.
Net income for the fourth quarter was $432,000, or 3 cents a share, contrasted with a net loss of $1.8 million, or 13 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue was up 50% to $4.8 million from $3.2 million. In the fourth quarter a year ago, the company wrote down $1.7 million in obsolete technology.
