Soligen’s Loss Increases Despite Surge in Sales

Soligen Technologies Inc., a Northridge company that makes castings for metal parts, said losses increased although sales surged in the fiscal year that ended March 31.
The loss widened to $2.17 million from $2 million last fiscal year. Revenues increased to $2.8 million from $1.65 million last year.
The company said revenues went up as the company signed on more customers. But write-offs in connection with an acquisition in 1994 as well as new sales and marketing expenditures boosted the loss.
