Bob Ctvrtlik was named captain of the 12-man men’s indoor volleyball team, while Tammy Liley was named captain of the women’s team.
Men’s coach Fred Sturm selected Ctvrtlik, a two-time Olympian, along with Scott Fortune and Jeff Stork, who also competed in the 1988 and ’92 Games. Bryan Ivie, a bronze-medalist with the ’92 team was also picked.
Despite fracturing a bone in his right hand May 23, Brett Wilson was named to the team. Sturm will determine by July 5 if Wilson can compete in Atlanta.
Liley is one of three players selected by Coach Terry Liskevych with two previous Olympic appearances. Paula Weishoff was a member of the ’84 and ’92 squads, and Caren Kemner was an Olympian in ’88 and ’92.
