State Assemblyman Brooks Firestone (R-Los Olivos) has scheduled a series of summer “town hall” meetings over the next two weeks for his district, which encompasses portions of western Ventura County and southern Santa Barbara County,
The meetings are intended to give constituents the opportunity to ask questions about state issues and learn more about recent activities within the Legislature, such as Assembly approval of the $63-million state budget and developments concerning the three-strikes law.
The meetings all begin at 7 p.m. and are slated at the following locations:
* Tuesday at the Ventura City Hall community meeting room, 501 Poli St., in Ventura.
* July 22 at the Ojai City Hall council chambers, 401 S. Ventura St., in Ojai.
* July 23 at the Santa Paula City Hall council chambers, 970 Ventura St., in Santa Paula.
* July 25 at the Pierpont Elementary School cafeteria, 1254 Martha’s Vineyard Court, in Ventura.
