CHP Officer’s Car Overturns in Chase

The California Highway Patrol is investigating an accident involving one of its officers.
Officer John Ybarra sustained minor injuries Sunday after his patrol car overturned at about 6:40 p.m. on Santa Ana Road just north of Foster Park near Lake Casitas.
Ybarra was trying to stop two speeding vehicles when he lost control of his car on a curve, hit a dirt embankment and overturned, said CHP spokesman Steven Reid. The speeders were not caught.
Ybarra was treated for minor injuries at Ventura County Medical Center and released, Reid said.
