Denmark’s Roug Extends Her Lead

Two-time world champion Kristine Roug of Denmark built her lead to eight points over America’s Courtenay Becker-Dey in the Europe Class at Savannah, Ga.
Roug finished first for the second time while Becker-Dey placed seventh in the fifth race of the scheduled 11-race series.
The American Star Class team of Mark Reynolds and Hal Haenel, the defending Olympic champions, remained third after the fifth race.
Kristina Stookey and Louise Van Voorhis fell into a tie for fourth overall in the women’s 470.
The U.S. team of Morgan Reeser and Kevin Burnham stood 11th in the men’s double-handed dinghy (470).
Will Martin was 22nd in Finn Class and Mike Gebhardt moved into fourth in Mistral.
