According to the Ledger-Enquirer in Columbus, Ga., a family from Orlando, Fla., swapped its tickets to see Shaquille O’Neal and the Dream Team so they could watch the U.S. softball team play.
“We already went to one [basketball] game,” Kathleen Winger said. “Booooring.”
OK, so this ticket swap might have had a little bit to do with O’Neal’s spurning the Orlando Magic to sign with the Lakers.
“He left us for the money,” Doug Winger said. “These [softball] athletes play for the love of the game.”
