Windows Smashed on Dozens of Vehicles

Vandals broke windows on more than 30 vehicles early Saturday in east Ventura, authorities said.
No suspects have been identified, and Ventura police are investigating the crime spree that began about 3 a.m., Lt. Brad Talbot said.
Most of the vehicles were east of Victoria Avenue and south of the Santa Paula Freeway. Calls about damaged windows were still coming in to the Police Department early Saturday afternoon, Talbot said.
Some cars lost the driver’s side window, while others had the passenger window broken out, Talbot said.
“There doesn’t seem to be any pattern. They just broke whatever they could get at,” Talbot said.
Police are not sure whether the windows were shot out or whether rocks were used.
