Trial Hears of Plot to Bomb A-Plant

An FBI agent testified in the trial of three radical Muslims accused of plotting to bomb U.S. passenger jets that one suspect said he had also considered bombing a U.S. nuclear plant. FBI agent Francis Pellegrino testified that Abdul Hakim Murad “stated he had talked about possibly bombing a nuclear facility in the U.S. . . . He said the reason . . . was to make the American people and the American government suffer for their support of Israel.” Pellegrino said the conversation took place aboard a plane while he was escorting Murad from the Philippines to the U.S. on April 12, 1995.
