Burlington Air Express Inc.: The Irvine subsidiary of the Pittston Co. reported second-quarter operating profit of $16.3 million, 13% higher than the $14.4 million recorded for the like period last year. Revenue advanced 6% to $363.4 million from $342 million. First-half operating profit gained 11% to $25 million from $22.5 million from the comparable six months of 1995. Revenue was up 7% to $715.4 million from $665.9 million.
