NEWPORT BEACH — InSight Health Services Corp. signed a letter of intent to acquire the imaging assets of Open MRI Inc., an open magnetic resonance imaging center in Hayward. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The company said that under the terms of the letter, Dr. Peter Rothschild, a principal of Open MRI Inc., will become medical director of an InSight unit that will be responsible for operating the site, as well as other open MRI sites that InSight and its unit agree to open or acquire.
The company said the acquisition will be its first since it was formed as a result of the merger of American Health Services Corp. and Maxum Health Corp.
InSight provides diagnostic imaging, treatment and related management services.
