Parmenter Adds to Swim Laurels

Jennifer Parmenter of Granada Hills won the women’s 400-meter individual medley Wednesday at the Phillips 66 national swimming championships in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Parmenter, who will be a sophomore at L.A. Baptist, won her third national title with a time of 4:43.48.
Ryan Duncan of Simi Valley finished fifth in the men’s 400 individual medley.
Baseball
Chris Zavatsky was named pitching coach at College of the Canyons by Coach Len Mohney.
