YMCA Senior Center Offers Activities

Recreational and social activities for the frail elderly are available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday at the North Orange County Family YMCA’s Senior Day Care Center in Fullerton.
A number of activities are offered to help participants stay mentally alert and physically fit, center officials said, and to help combat loneliness. Some of the center’s activities are arts and crafts, exercise, music, guest speakers, reality orientation and nutrition programs.
The cost is $20 for a visit of six hours or less, and $30 for more than six hours. Those who cannot afford to pay may qualify for free sessions or discounted rates. The center is at 1414 S. Brookhurst St. in Fullerton.
