6 Named Recipients of Club Scholarships

Cal Lutheran supporters will present scholarships to six university students for their outstanding community service during an awards dinner Sept. 5.

Shawna Swanson and Heidi Kneff, both of Simi Valley, Peter Aldama of Los Angeles and Tiffany Diane Coakley of Thousand Oaks will each receive the $1,000 Community Leaders Club Scholarship.

Wawona resident Lisa Loberg has been named the recipient of the Mark and Jean Mathews Endowed Scholarship, and Peter John Berg of Fountain Valley will receive the Community Leaders Club’s Endowed Scholarship. The two endowed scholarships, awarded for students’ academic achievement and community service efforts, vary each year from $500 to $1,000.

The annual Community Leaders Club Kick-Off Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at the Pavilion, on campus at Cal Lutheran, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. Cost is $15 per person.
