In other Sea View League matches:
Dana Hills 16, Mission Viejo 2--Sixth-ranked Dana Hills swept in singles, led by Margo Pierog who won, 6-1, 6-1, 6-0. Dana Hills is 9-2, 3-0.
Woodbridge 14, Irvine 4--Freshman Adrianna Hockicko did not lose a game, sweeping, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, for second-ranked Woodbridge (12-1, 4-0).
In the Garden Grove League:
Los Amigos 17, Santiago 3--The No. 2 doubles team of Seng Luu and Alex Garcia won their sets for Los Amigos, 6-3, 6-0, 6-0. Los Amigos, ranked 10th in the county, remains undefeated (13-0, 6-0).
In the Golden West League:
Rosary 18, Santa Ana 0--Seventh-ranked Rosary (10-1, 4-0) gave up only three games in singles for the victory. Eleanor Luzano didn’t lose a game, sweeping, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, Cheryl Hamilton swept, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, and Joanne Cruz won, 6-0, 6-1, 6-1.
In the South Coast League:
Capistrano Valley 16, San Clemente 2--Freshman Leigh Ann Merryman raised her season record to 33-3 with a 6-3, 6-0, 6-3 sweep for ninth-ranked Capistrano Valley (12-1, 2-1).
Mater Dei 18, Trabuco Hills 0--Freshman Melissa Esmero improved to 32-1 with a 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 sweep for eighth-ranked Mater Dei (7-4, 2-1).
In nonleague water polo:
Foothill 13, Long Beach Wilson 12 (OT)--Rob Arroyo scored the winner in sudden-death overtime to give top-ranked Foothill the victory over Wilson (13-2), which is ranked second in Division I. Foothill’s Matt Ellis sent the game into overtime, taking a pass from his brother, Nick, and scoring with 10 seconds left in regulation. Foothill (14-1) has won two of the last three games between the teams.
San Clemente 13, Servite 12--Jordan Hewko scored the game-winner with 1:49 left as fourth-ranked San Clemente edged the 10th-ranked Friars (13-6). Colin Shaughnessy scored six goals and Hewko had four for the Tritons (9-5).
