Grant 24, Monroe 20--Olando Enoex scored on a 77-yard kickoff return with just more than three minutes remaining to lift the Lancers (2-4, 1-2) to an upset at Monroe.
The Vikings had scored on a 44-yard pass from Alaimo to Michael Goode to take a 20-18 lead.
Enoex also killed Monroe’s final drive by intercepting Willie Alaimo’s pass near midfield with 12 seconds remaining.
Grant’s Lawrence Monroy completed nine of 13 passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns, including a 63-yard touchdown to Luis Escamilla in the first quarter.
George Garcia led Monroe (4-2, 1-2) with 143 yards in 17 carries. Vinny Walker, who entered the game lead the area’s City Section rushers, was held to 69 yards in 14 carries.
