Fullerton Fourth in Cross-Country

Omar Cordero finished 22nd with a time of 27 minutes 14 seconds as the Cal State Fullerton men finished fourth in the open division of the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo cross-country invitational Saturday. Derek Kite of Future Track won the race in 24:52.
In the women’s invitational division, the Titans finished eighth. Sonia Perez was the top finisher for the Titans, finishing 22nd.
In Big West Conference women’s volleyball:
Boise State 3, Cal State Fullerton 1--Heather Bassett had 22 kills and 14 digs for Cal State Fullerton, which lost at Boise State, 15-7, 5-15, 15-11, 15-10.
Idaho 3, UC Irvine 0--Jeri Hymas had 20 kills to lead Idaho (18-2, 7-1) in the 15-10, 15-11, 15-6 victory over the Anteaters (3-17, 1-7). Beth Craig had 17 kills and Jessica Moore had 15.
