The Santa Ana manufacturer of automated equipment for shipping and mailing operations posted a net loss for the third quarter of $486,766, or 25 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $199,930, or 10 cents a share, for the same period in 1995. Revenue fell to $201,158 from $747,163. The company recorded a net loss of $711,471, or 37 cents a share, for the nine-month period, contrasted with net income of $92,580, or 5 cents a share, for first three quarters of 1995. Revenue declined to $1.9 million from $3.6 million. The company attributed the third-quarter loss to a decrease in product sales and significantly higher research and development costs.
