NEWPORT BEACH — An Irvine motorist was arrested after allegedly colliding with a 43-year-old bicyclist early Saturday, then fleeing the scene.
Shortly after 1 a.m., witnesses saw a Toyota driven by Miyong Han, 40, strike cyclist Gregory Carlson of Newport Beach and then leave the scene at Jamboree Road and Eastbluff Drive, police said.
Han later contacted police, Sgt. John Desmond said.
Han was headed south on Jamboree, and Carlson was going west on Eastbluff before the two collided, police said.
Carlson received leg and arm injuries and was treated at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana where he remains in stable condition. Han was uninjured, police said.
Authorities said Han was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
Han was transferred to County Jail, where she posted $10,000 bail and was released Saturday.
