Performances Set for ‘Nutcracker,’ ‘Christmas Carol’

BREA — The city’s Curtis Theater will present two family-oriented holiday productions, “Nutcracker Suite” and “A Christmas Carol,” next month.
“Nutcracker Suite,” the Tchaikovsky classic, will be performed by the Coast Ballet Theater of South Orange County, at 1, 3 and 5 p.m. on Dec. 1. Ticket holders are invited to visit with cast members from 2 to 3 p.m. on the plaza in front of the theater, with photo opportunities and refreshments available.
“A Christmas Carol,” the Charles Dickens’ classic, will be performed by the Hampstead Players at 1 and 3 p.m. on Dec. 15.
The Hampstead Players is a touring company that has brought live interactive theater to children nationwide for 10 years. During the performance of “A Christmas Carol,” the group will invite some audience members on stage to become part of the play.
Tickets for each performance are $6, and can be purchased by mail, phone, fax or in person.
The Brea Curtis Theater is at 1 Civic Center Circle.
