After an intense six-week investigation, Oxnard police arrested a woman Thursday suspected of selling heroin, police said.
Officers served a search warrant of the home of Bertha Vera Jacquez, 45, of Oxnard and arrested her for allegedly making two heroin sales, Oxnard Police Sgt. T.P. Combs said.
Inside the residence, in the 100 block of South Juanita Avenue, officers found several scales used to measure gram-sized weights.
Police said three individuals who arrived at the home during the search admitted that they came to purchase drugs. Six other people lived in the single-family home with Jacquez, but police believe they were not involved.
Jacquez was booked and then transported to Ventura County Jail, where she is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.
