Marijuana Clubs

Mike Kvammen (letter, April 25) complained about the high prices of medicinal marijuana. I can’t disagree with him, they are high. The shame is that when clubs like Flower Therapy attempt to get off the black market and lower their prices by growing their own, the plants are confiscated by the government before the patients can benefit from the harvest (April 22).

The majority of patients at the clubs are on SSI or some sort of other fixed income. Where is the logic in the government’s seizure and destruction of medication for the ill?
