There are few players who are almost universally accepted by county coaches as the best at their positions, but Florida-bound Boone is one of them. A two-time first-team selection, she batted .363, scored 17 runs, and fielded first base brilliantly before an ankle injury in the first game of the playoffs limited her to one pinch-hit appearance.
